Join a Sharing Circle
Black Women Birthing Justice is interested in gathering Black women’s and birthing people's birth stories. By sharing our stories of pain and struggle, as well as joy and transformation, we hope to build community, make opportunities to learn from each other and ultimately challenge the practices that prevent many of us from having empowering and healthy birth experiences.
Save yourself a spot at our next SHARING CIRCLE for black women who have a child aged 5 and under!

We seek women and transfolks in the U.S. who identify as Black, African American, African, Caribbean, and multiracial and who have carried a pregnancy to full term in the past 5 years to participate in the study. We are committed to including our diversity in the study, including ethnicity/national origin, language, sexual orientation, gender identity, geographic location, economic status and age.
We are also interested in interviewing “experts” who can assist with identifying key issues for the research, including black midwives, doulas, natural childbirth advocates and OB-GYNs.
Participation in the study will include a 60-90 minute interview and/or participation in a Sharing Circle (if one is available in your location).
