What is a Postpartum Doula?

A Postpartum Doula helps the birthing person after they have had their baby. This can be done during the day or overnight. Here we discuss the various ways that Postpartum Doulas can be helpful.

Traditional Doula Vs. Community Doula

A Traditional Doula primarily is one that takes private clients that personally pay for the service. Community Doulas generally work through and are paid by a Community Organization to serve birthing people from underserved communities who are not able to pay personally. Here we discuss just what that looks like.

What is a Midwife?

A Midwife cares for birthing people prenatally, delivers their baby and provides care during the postpartum period. They have medical training and care for both mama and baby, unlike Doulas who aren’t medically trained and provide emotional support. We talk about the many ways Midwives can support you on your birth journey.
